Rachel has spent her career in educational organizations. As the Ed Foundation’s Associate Director, Rachel works closely with school and PTA leaders on annual fundraising efforts and solicits individual leadership gifts ($1,000 to $4,999). She also supervises the staff, manages operations, and oversees endowment-funded programs. Before coming to the Ed Foundation, she worked at DC Public Schools’ Early Stages Center, a special education testing and evaluation center, where she managed a team that worked directly with families throughout the special education evaluation process. Prior to that, Rachel directed the London region of Teach First, the English version of Teach for America, where she managed the two-year program for 250 teachers placed in London schools. She spent a total of 6 years at the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington, a member services organization for independent schools in the DC area, where her last role was Chief Operating Officer.
Rachel received a Bachelor of Arts in English and German from Duke University and a Master of Science in non-profit management from Roehampton University in London, England. She lives on the Westside with her husband and two children.
